This month’s meeting is Saturday January 15th, 1:00PM EST to 4:00PM EST at Family Buffet at 121 Towne Dr, Elizabethtown, KY 42701!
The legislature is now in session and we need all hands on deck as we start releasing calls to action on our supported and opposed bills this week.
We’ll be going over the bills that are in progress and making decisions on which we need to support; as usual there are great ones, and then weaker ones from different sponsors, and plenty of terrible ones. We’ll check in on our currently supported bills, and look at ones we hadn’t seen yet, like State Rep Savannah Maddox’s heavy hitting 2nd Amendment Sanctuary Bill, and the several bills being floated in response to the administratively-redefined 40% vehicle tax increase the administration announced.
We also will talk about redistricting that happened and how that will shape up some key races in KY.
We will also be hearing from newly minted candidate for Kentucky’s redistricted 2nd Congressional District, Brother Lee Watts. With Brett Guthrie having been such a disappointment on so many issues we care about, it will be important to hear Lee’s plans for representing if elected.
We also have candidates from the Hardin County area invited to join us but not confirmed yet.
